Weeroona College combined with Catholic College and hosted by Andy’s Earthmovers

Date:   October 20th – 24th

The combined student team were given a project at Andy’s Earthmovers to develop a system for minor asset management and identify ways to reduce asset loss.   Many thanks to Barry Cook and the Andy’s Earthmover’s team for their support and making the students feel like valued members of their team during the week.  The students used Mindmaps, Force Field, Flow Charts and Survey tools to discover several solutions to their challenge.  A Decision Matrix (a simple table used in evaluating possible alternatives to a course of action) helped them to discover that the best system, based on their criteria was a Grid System, a solution that the student team designed themselves and put together ROI and costings for the new system. Mindshop Facilitator Chris Mason said “The outcome was a good example of the benefits of coloration within a team and this was particularly pleasing because the team members were from two different schools and had not work together previously”.
